Anyone who moves it takes a hop behind the person who told them. The chain is recorded on Robinhood Chain, so nobody can rewrite who carried it.
Fees split down the chain and pool until claimed. A handle that has never signed in still has a balance sitting there waiting.
Half the royalty stream stays with the origin. The rest is the carry pool, and it halves at each hop away from them. Depth is capped at four hops so the tail can't be farmed with throwaway accounts, and the remainder falls back to the origin rather than evaporating.

A USDG-native Arbitrum Orbit L2, chain id 4663, fully EVM equivalent. Hops, splits and claims are all ordinary contract calls — there are no custom opcodes and nothing settles off-chain.
Depth stops at four, so a chain of throwaways pays out less at every step and hits zero on the fifth. Past that you are splitting your own money with yourself and paying fees to do it.

No. The halving rule and the four-hop cap are fixed in the contract at deploy. The only thing the origin picks is the royalty percentage on trades, and that is set once.
A verified pass from your connected account that results in a hop being written. Volume you bring in after that keeps paying you, so the position is worth more than the moment.
No. A cut is a position in the chain, not a balance. Selling every token you hold does not remove you from the hop you earned.
